Sharon Kosek is the February Aging Well Award Winner!

Sharon Kosek has lived a life of volunteerism since the age of 9. Her love of serving the community was born out of watching her mother campaigning for the city to build Krug Pool. That inspiration has led to her being well known for supporting the arts and several other causes that bring the community together. "There is so many great things in St. Joseph to volunteer for and get involved with." say Kosek. "You could never go to bed if you wanted to. Just stay up and volunteer all the time."

Sharon's dedication has lead to her winning many awards including the Women of Excellence Lifetime Achievement award and 2018 Missouri State Award for Leadership in the Arts from the Missouri Arts Council. Ann Irvin who nominated Kosek said "Sharon does not volunteer her time for the accolades, but all of her contributions have not gone unnoticed. She has personally touched the lives of many in the community, including myself."

Congratulations Sharon! You truly are Aging Well!
