We are thrilled to announce that the recipient of the Aging Well Award for the month of February is none other than the esteemed former city councilwoman, Pat Jones. Pat's dedication to the community through her volunteer work with organizations like the Salvation Army and Second Harvest Community Food Bank has made her a beloved figure in Saint Joseph. However, it is her role as "Grandma" to countless children in the area that truly sets her apart.
Pat's passion for volunteering shines brightly when she is reading to children, a role she cherishes deeply. From kindergarten to older children, Pat has made a significant impact on the lives of many. It's not uncommon for her to be stopped by kids who want to greet their "grandma."
"I have never had a better role model in my life than this woman." – Brooklyn Jones
In addition to her remarkable contributions, Pat has also inspired young women in the community, including Brooklyn Jones, who nominated her. Brooklyn shared, "I have never had a better role model in my life than this woman. She has shown me that a woman can do anything as long as she puts her mind to it!" Pat's influence extends far beyond her volunteer work, touching the lives of those around her in profound ways.
Her warmth and kindness have left an indelible mark on the community, and we are proud to honor her as the February Aging Well Award winner. Congratulations, Pat!
