Getting older is not always easy and it’s no small feat to age well. Every month, Freudenthal honors those in our community that are doing just that. The Aging Well Award winner for September is Gay Dittemore. Gay is a mother of 3 and has worked in education for 42 years, most of that being a counselor. After retiring from teaching, Gay started volunteering and helping out at her church, the Savannah Presbyterian Church, as well as the Savannah Food Pantry. She donates so much time and energy to her community and we are proud to honor her.
Do you know someone that is over the age of 55 and is involved in their community, church, volunteering, or is still working and doing a great job? It’s a wonderful thing to be able to acknowledge a friend, neighbor or coworker and tell them that they are doing an amazing job just being them. To nominate someone you just have to go online to www.newspressnow.com/agingwell and take a few minutes to write down what makes them special. At Freudenthal taking care of seniors is our specialty and we love that we get to highlight the stories from people that help make this community better.
