The April Aging Well Award winner is Butch Owens! At the age of 83, Butch is still very active in the community and his church. This St. Joseph native grew around the Fairview & Country Club golf courses where his father was the golf pro for a number of years. This multi-talented senior draws amazing portraits, plays the guitar, banjo, and is currently trying to learn the piano. He even moonlights as an Uber driver.
Butch gives his Christian faith and his wife, Marilyn, credit for keeping him active. In fact his faith has allowed him to even change lives while driving for Uber. Tilo Roy, who nominated Butch, is one of those lives. All-in-all, Butch is another prime example of what it means to be Aging Well!
